This hotel is focused on its primary purpose, which is to provide a comfortable bed for restful sleep, and private bath facilities, in a clean and functional room - not to distract with frills like a tv or an overpriced minibar. If you want a tv you can get one for less than the price of two colas per night (I declined). If you want a beer or a cocktail, there is a bar with indoor and outdoor seating. Some might find this inn a bit spartan, but it was my favorite place in six weeks of travel th.
所有评语 » If you cannot or dont want to stay in the old side if the city, thats a very good option. Althoug not an English spoken receptionist we got a way to communicate! The only minus would be the lack os places to eat around the hotel. good breakfast buffet, friendly staff very basic room but with a bed and a shower you have what you need. Only I would have put a bit more comfy chair instead of the dining table chair that no one would sit on. Clean comfortable rooms in a quiet location. Very close to Neustadt area and Neustadt train station. A nice 20min walk to the Altstadt. The breakfast was very good. The hotel is not "polluted" with TV screens, has a calm atmosphere, even though it is centrally located. Comfortable bed, very good location, free wifi and free parking. Nice building exterior. Best thing is the central location. Outstanding location in a beautiful historic building recently renovated and completely modernized, large, clean rooms. The rooms were basic but spacious. A beautiful quiet spot but very close to the centre of the city. Good value Simple decor. Quite place to sleep!. Large bedroom and ensuite bathroom. Clean and tidy. Excellent breakfast - better than many other hotels I have stayed in - good choice of fresh fruit and fresh bread rolls. Hotel was a very interesting historic building with a pretty courtyard. Free wi-fi (limited amount but sufficient for web browsing and email). Good hotel for a short stop over but for a longer stay furniture in rooms could do with upgrading in comfort. Convenient, good location close to tram service. Good location in walking distance of Neustadt attractions. Very close to the railway station and tram stops. Not far from both the historic centre and new town. The light over the bathroom sink was not working when I arrived. The problem was too complex for the first person to fix, so it required more expert attention, and took a couple of days to get working. Reception was diligent in following through, and raised the matter with me more than once to make sure it remained working. Problems will occur now and then - what is more important is how a problem is handled. This hotel handled this one well. There is no lift, so if you have heavy bags be prepared to lug it up the stairs. Not so much a problem for me as I spoke some German but some staff members don't speak English which may make it a tad difficult for non-German speakers but they were lovely nonetheless. Inside the hotel was duller that I expected - corridors looked like a student dormitory and the room was basic - not terrible but more like a 30Euro room rather than a 70 Euro room. No elevator. No problem for us, even though we were on the top floor, but it might be for some. Extra charge for TV. Lack of comfortable chair in room. Only hard chairs or bed. Suggest requesting a room on the interior courtyard -- Our room was on the street side and it was noisy for sleeping since we had to leave the window open (no AC). difficult to log on to internet. Rather expensive for accomodation that was really more hostel than hotel. Very basic furniture in bedrooms, no TV as standard but available for small fee. Restrictions on internet use No tea/coffee available in rooms No wardrobe in room Breakfast almost inedible Reception not open when I needed assistance Room was cold even with heaters on. Reluctantly accepted a credit card, minimalist furniture, and the TV was at an extra charge - never experienced the latter b4!. Staff doesn't speak a good english. It was hard to communicate. No free tv in the room (3€ per day) and wifi connection didnt work so well. The room was not very clean,especially if you take a look below beds and desks. No wardrobe,just some Ikea hangers. Its really not okay for long stays.
