The staff was very helpful and friendly and even washed my hoodie, returning it to me within a few hours without charge. (The weather was unseasonably cold during our visit). Our room was very clean, beds were comfortable, there were numerous wall hooks for hanging jackets, towels, etc. Our room was large with a large closet and a nice bathroom. The train station, cathedral, parking garage and KD boat on the Rhine ticket seller are a 5 - 10 minute walk from the hotel. The train station of.
所有评语 » The room was elegantly finished and very comfortable, with a nice outlook and a quiet location at night. We could see Cologne cathedral through the window and hear church bells in the morning. It was very close to the walkway along the Rhine and an easy distance to the station and the Cathedral. The staff were very friendly and considerate. The breakfast was elegant and generous. There was a luggage lift to help with bags, which made a huge difference to climbing the stairs - necessary becau. The value for money is truly amazing. The rooms are modern and clean, the shower is very comfortable, there's free wifi in the rooms and the included breakfast was very luxurious. Overall a great experience. A tip for future visitors: if your room is on the front of the hotel, it can get pretty warm if the sun is shining all day: I'd suggest closing the curtains when you leave for the day (maybe even crack a window) to keep the heat out. There seems to be no airconditioning, but there's a ceili. I was nervous when first pulling up & entering this hotel, but pleasantly surprised by the size of the rooms...they're enormous, especially by European standards. This building was an old home converted into a small hotel. Family run, all amenities. Needed a third bed added to one room & it was a full size very comfortable bed, nothing like a 'cot'. We were on the 4th floor with no lift although there was a dumbwaiter for transporting luggage. Unfortunately we didn't discover this until we were ready to depart since we arrived late the first night after the front desk had closed. If you are older, you may want to request a lower floor. (We had requested the upper floor without realizing there was no lift--our mistake.). All was good. Very small elevator for luggage only. Stairs to reach each floor of rooms. No elevator, but they did have a luggage lift. Really not a problem. Lack of facilities: No kettle in the room, No elevator and we were at the top floor. Reception closed at 5 pm, and we had trouble getting into our room. I didn't receive a warm wecolme. Simple things could make this different - a coffee or something else offered when you arrive is enough. The hotel doesn't have elevator but they do have a lift for the luggage. I was glad that I was at the first floor anyway. No lift which wasnt a problem for us but could be an issue for older people if their rooms are on the higher floors. Breakfast could be better. On fourth floor with no lift although suitcases were transported by dumb waiter. No front desk reception at certain times at night. Limited reception hours. stairs only to all floors. limited front desk hours. Construction noise from nearby. it would be better if the front desk were manned until a later hour. Windows leave in internal yard. in warm weather people there can gather, it isn't absolutely convenient. lack of elevator. en.. no. No lift. Free wifi. No aircon and the fan was noisy. The shower door was a bit strange and water kept leaking out onto the bathroom floor... As a result, floor was always wet. we stayed at a third floor with no elevator. there was a small bag elevator always full with housekeeping stuff. plumbing problems caused our room to eliminate the use of the sink. This was a quick overnight trip, and I'm sure the staff would address if we stayed longer.
