We loved everything - the location so close to the lovely old town, the sea view from our side balcony, the well equipped kitchenette, the huge bed, the modrrn decor, modern bathroom, great shower, nice towels and toiletries and the staff. Our best stay in northern France. We used the quite roomy garage underneath which was a little dear but worth it. Receptionists had enough English to accommodate us. Reception staff very kind and helpfull, they gave us list of best local restaurants and advised which are the best - we tried 2 of 4 and both were perfect. Parking is inside hotel and spaceous enough for big car. Hotel located outside of old sity but it takes only 10-15 minutes walk and the route is going along seaside, so it is very pleasant. We were three generations (3 adults and 2 kids) and the queen bed, twin bed and sofa bed in the 2-bedroom apt were perfect accomodations for us. It was the most comfortable sofabed any of us had slept on. Perfect kitchen for the long weekend. The staff was very nice. Design of the room and the lovely terrace, the kitchen facilities were excellent for a short stay and the decoration in the room was lovely. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was modern, spacious and clean. The hotel is very new and very well designed with modern features. The staff were excellent and there was a laundry for the use of guests. The breakfast is healthy and varied. Very friendly receptionist, good English. Most of them are new. location. Only a little thing, check-in and out was a bit slow but pleasant all the same. Bit expensive, but St.Malo is not cheap place. There were a few maintenance issues (broken hair dryer/no replacement until Day 2-3). We had a room with a balcony, which we enjoyed, but the view of the ocean is obscured by buildings on both sides, so it's just a narrow view. Still, we enjoyed it. Check in is at 4pm and check out time at 10.30am, for a one night stay I think it would be good to have the option of a late check out time (say 12pm) for an added fee. My friends and I were there for a celebration and could have done with longer to rest and pack up in the morning. The room was a little smaller than usual but manageable. We had a nice deck with ocean views. It would have been nice to have at least one English language channel on the TV. Our room smells a bit smoke... early check out. Initial confusion with which type of credit card was accepted and the variation to letsbookhotel.com policy regarding 25% deposit for booking. This caused some concern as to whether the booking was firm. Travelling from Australia we hoped that all was well and it turned out that all was good. manque de discretion par rapport a la vue sur rue.
