Traditional, very well maintained and decorated with great taste. Our superior room was very spacious, overlooking the garden, and the bathroom was modern. Breakfast is very complete. We really enjoyed the heated outdoor pool, excellent for spending the afternoon. Overall a great base for visiting the Loire Valley.

  Very charming chateau outside of Onzain. The chateau keepers could not have been kinder or more accommodating. Our French was not strong at all, and they very kindly helped translate a menu for us at a very nice restaurant they recommended in the neighboring town to celebrate our anniversary. They also called the restaurant to make the reservation... 别人怎么说 » for us. They spoke fluent English which was incredibly helpful. The view from our 2nd floor room was truly spectacular! And the breakfast they offere - I loved the Hotel. Very nice staff and very relaxing place conveniently located next to the most famous Loire Castles. I will go back. A great find! The Loire castles are beautiful and visiting them is a pleasure. I stayed 3 days but I could have stayed a week. So much to see. Do not forget to visit the caves and do some wine tasting.

The house is charming, warm, comfortable and elegant with a relaxed feel to it thanks to Claude Herbert's hospitality. As a family with two young girls (aged 3 and 5) this can sometimes be an annoyance to other guests and the host but we never felt like this.
