This appeared to be a very old building, as least a century or two, with the feel of an old French inn. The room was comfortable, apparently without air conditioning, but we opened our window and it was generally quiet at night. The hotel is a lovely old building with a very pleasant garden, in the centre of Avranches. We had a family room which was spacious and very well appointed. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We were travelling by bicycle and were able to leave the bikes securely in the hotel covered parking overnight. The location was good for cyclists as you can walk to restaurants and shops in the evening. Breakfast was very good. We didn't have an evening meal at the hotel as we only wanted a light meal
