The staff were very welcoming and hospitable without being intrusive or over the top. Fresh linen and clean rooms everyday.   This was our first holiday in the Dordogne and it couldn't have got off to a better start. We were very pleased with L'Escale as our choice of B&B. The location is fabulous right next to the river, the rooms are spacious and very clean. We would go back again and would definitely recommend L'Escale to al - What a find. We stayed at L'escale for three nights on our way down to the south coast of France. Very welcoming and friendly owners, we ate in the restaurant every night as we all enjoyed the the hot stone menu and or pizza, especially our teenagers. Our two good sized rooms were comfortable and looked out onto the garden and were a stones throw away from the banks of River Dordogne. Very handy for a quick dip or hiring a canoe.
