  Single room was small but comfortable, with shower and basin. Toilet was just down the hall. A small lift meant you didn't have to negotiate the stairs with bags. Close to the train station, it allowed me easy access for a late night arrival. About only a 15 minute walk to the historic Carcassonne walled city. Owners did not speak much English but... 别人怎么说 » were friendly and very helpful. Close to shops and eateries. Cheap Wi-Fi access. Enjoyed my stay there. - This was a very typically French hotel which due to location, welcome and comfort was a joy to stay in. From arrival to departure the Proprietor was a joy and his attempts at encouraging guests to practice their French as he practiced his English was just brilliant. We travel regularly between France and Scotland,don't know when we are due next to travel from Carcassonne to Glasgow but would definitely stay here again. Merci Monsieur Proprietor

  Modern hotel close to airport and 10 minutes drive to old walled city. We used as a stop over en route and it was perfect for that. Room was small but comfortable and very clean with good shower and facilties.   This is a small family-run hotel and the proprieters Marc and Severine are the most charming and helpful you could wish for. I certainly have never stayed anywhere were the staff were even half as friendly as at the Astoria. We stayed in the annexe in a simply-equiped room with ensuite shower/toilet room. The hotel location could not be better: just a few hundred metr - Being near to the railway station it is in an ideal location with friendly helpful staff and only a 25 minute walk to the medieval city. The continental breakfast was very good for the 8 euro price. The 2 of us stayed in a clean room with 2 double beds and a shower and toilet. The smaller 1 double bed rooms have their own bath but share a toilet, so it is worth paying a bit extra to have more room and your own toilet.

  This was well situated within easy walking distance of the castle, and with a shockingly good bakery right across the road. The room was tidy and clean, and the beds were very confortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful and serviced the room daily. They also were very patient with my schoolgirl French. It was very good val - Great price, free secure carpark comfy bed and its a 15min walk to La Cite. But In the hot summer sun the walk to La Cite is punishing. No footpath or shelter, older travelers should be careful. Because of this we drove our car back to La Cite at 8pm, and the was free at this time in the evening.

An excellent base from which to explore - Nice ancient building, 15-20 mins pleasant walk to the fortified citadel. Very nice coloured and well decorated rooms (our quadruple was very spacious and comfortable). Breakfast buffet was good, even if nothing spectacular. Family management extremely kind and helpful. Parking in front of the hotel is free from 18 to 9, and it is easy to find a place close to the entrance. Not expensive during the day.
