  The staff were very welcoming. They were extremely helpful, even booking a table at one of the restaurants in the Old Town for us. The location is brilliant - head up the hill for a short walk to the Old Town and down the hill the same distance to the town centre.   Good access to a number of ski resorts. We visited Serre-Chevalier, Claviere and Montgenèvre over our three day stay. Great snowboarding. Hotel is cosy and great value.   We used Briancon as a base from which to explore the area by car. This hotel was ideal because it is easy to find from the main roads into Briancon and parking is free and plentiful. We had a room with a kitchen and the nearby supermarket and other shops were very convenient. A modern and very well maintained hotel. - It's attached to the Ibis hotel (same entrance) but about €13 cheaper for basically the same. Our room had a wonderful view of the snowcapped mountains and a small enclosed balcony to view them from. It shares a large carpark with the Ibis and the shopping centre which makes for easy parking and access to supermarket, great patisserie and lovely wine shop. Easy to find, just head for the Ibis.

The staff was very friendly and helpful with questions about travel and local attractions, and if they didn't have an answer they found someone who did. If skiing is your sport there is lots next door. - I booked a single but got a room that could sleep three (3 x single beds) so it was quite large. My top floor skylight window had great views of the mountains, but it was too high to look through normally. Staff were friendly and there was a restaurant and bar in the hotel where you could go to eat or drink. Free carpark was convenient and Wi-Fi worked well.
