  Our family had a very positive experience during our stay. Great location - short taxi ride from train station; very friendly, helpful staff - from the front desk, breakfast room to housekeeping staff - all are extremely friendly and helpful! All of us would recommend this hotel to all travellers - if looking for an authentic "old" European expe - The hotel was in a wonderful location right in the centre of Blois but with easy parking nearby. When we booked, the proprietor sent a personal email welcoming us and this was typical of the whole style of the hotel which was friendly, cheerful and welcoming. The hotel is in an old, very characterful building said to have belonged originally to the Dukes of Guise, and the owners have kept a lot of character while making sure that it is comfortable and modern where it needs to be.   We enjoyed our stay here. The location was perfect for us opposite the railway station. We had a large comfortable room at the top of the building which was quiet but only had a view of the bus stop. Breakfast was fine with plenty of choice and was served in a pleasant room.
