  I found the location very good, its away from the night life on James street, so the noise is less noisy on the weekends!, i actually extended my stay until the 2nd July. The staff were very nice everyone and very helpful :) I would say this is probably the most cleanest and safest backpacking hostel in Perth! Pleasantly surprised that with the excellent price per - I have got a family room, which is spacious with a big bathroom. It is clean. The location is at china town, with lots of Asian restaurants and grocery shops. It is walking distance to perth train station and bus stop of free blue cat bus.

  The staff were amazing, I work away and very often stay in high end hotels around Australia as I am in my early 20's I often get treated much differently but it was definitely not the case, there was a couple of noise complaints but the staff dealt with it in a very respectful manner. They smiled and felt good. close to shops / beach etc. if you have a car close to larger shopping centre 20 min from Fremantle/ Perth .   I stayed at Mountway September 2013. I had no problems parking my car the few times I had to go out. The public transport in Perth is great with many free services almost on the doorstep of the apartments. I enjoy walking so most times it’s easier to do that than driving.   Fantastic staff who were so helpful when I couldn't get the computer to work. They cheerfully helped me to print out my airline bookings. Nothing was too much trouble. Also very good value for money.   I stayed in the female dorm for one night, the room was clean and proper, the weekend manager was very helpful to make a call to airport shuttle for me. Bathroom was also nice and clean, the guests were a nice people. This hostel is located in the quite neighborhood which allows you to have a nice deep sleep. Very comfortable. No fridge in room but access to main fridges in share kitchen. The private rooms are a great compromise between having friendly international travellers around but not having to share a room if you like your privacy. Will be my first stop next time I stay in Perth.
