  Christine at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. Courtney, in housekeeping, made us feel welcome from the get-go and asked us to let her know if we needed anything. Everything was wonderful. I've lived in Volusia Co for 25 years and have stayed in hotels on the coast countless times. The Beachside Motel is now - The view of the morning sunrise. The balcony was a bonus, just being able to kick back and relax watching the ocean. The room was large but not too large to be comfortable. The staff were great from the time we checked in till when we left, very knowledgeable of the area and willing to give tips on what to see and when. Will definitely be back.

  What our family enjoyed about Best Western Plus Aku Tiki Inn, Daytona Beach Shores was that it was located right on the ocean. Within walking distance to Winn-Dixie (grocery store), 7-11, putt-putt golf. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The "Happy hour" was great!!! And I'm not much of a drinker.   We loved the view and location. Perfect for families with smaller kids who does not want the party crowds and nightlife. Our kids are 6 and 8 and they had a blast. You have to drive a few miles to get a variety of restaurants but their are several with in walking distance that are great.   I loved the fact that you have to be at least 21 to stay there, you don't have to worry about a bunch of rowdy teens. It's a very family oriented hotel and the donuts are great! - VIewing and listening to the surf, and the wonderful sunrise you arranged for us!
