  The staff was amazing! There was not a single person we dealt with that was not friendly, knowledgable and quick to assist. Everyone went above and beyond.   This hotel was one of the best hotels we stayed in on our trip. It was close to everything; shopping, Santa Monica Pier, great restaurants and bars; couldn't have asked for a better location. The staff were fantastic, they gave us great advice and organised our transport back to the airport which saved us time and money.   Everything was great. Don't let the exterior fool you. Very welcoming, from the staff to the environment. Beach is literally steps away. It is lively all around. Most people would complain about the noise, but you have to take into account that that's just the Venice/Santa Monica environment. Fun and the sun is at your doorstep. We asked for a beach/ocean view and were upgraded upon - Brilliant, friendly & helpfull staff. It's right on the famous boardwalk next to plenty of restaurants & a small convenience store. It's secure, with a good safety deposit box in the room & I felt safe despite the colour characters going in & out at night. My room was also impeccably clean, as was the whole hotel. - The staff at this hotel were sensational! We got to check-in early, had our bags carried up 3 flights of stairs (because the elevator was on the fritz) and got to check-out late so we could sleep off our jet-lag. Plus they have one of the best lobby spaces I've ever seen and there's rooftop access to watch the sunset over Venice.

  We loved our stay at the Channel Road Inn. It was a wonderful starting point for our walks to the Santa Monica Pier along the beach and back along Ocean Avenue. The restaurants nearby were very good and the staff at the inn were very helpful and pleasant.
