We were making a round trip of the US West and spending a weekend in SF (June 22 to 24). Slightly shocked with the hotel rates, we picked this one as it was more or less reasonably priced (still > 100 USD per night) and had free parking (evidently hard to find in SF) and WiFi. My mom and I went to San Fransisco for just one night. When we started
looking at hotels we got really overwhelmed. Everything was so expensive
with poor reviews. Except this place. The reviews were decent. And we
were so happy we chose it. It was extremely easy to find, parking was
free, the staff was very nice and friendly, and the room was very clean.
We actually had a great view of the city from our room. And it's
close to the palace of fine arts and the marina, so it's an easy and

The Regency was easy walking distance to everything I needed in SF: Union Square for my conference, the BART line to and from the airport for a reasonable price, and tourist attractions like the F line to Fisherman's Warf. The staff at the Regency was very helpful and friendly.

The staff was amazing! I had a unique situation, with moving halfway
across the country with my new job, allergies, & a car. They worked
with me and accommodated all of my wishes. The eggs (whites), fruit, and
waffles for breakfast were big plusses. Also, the Wi-Fi was secure and I
needed that for work. I will probably stay there again during my
transition. The neighborhood is great too!

Good budget-friendly hotel. We stayed for 2 days & walked or bussed
the whole time. Very central location to everything. We walked from the
hotel to Pier 39/Fisherman's Warf, Chinatown, North Beach, Union
Square, then would take the bus back. We did this with a 5 year old
& a 2 year old. The rooms were clean & tidy with plenty of
space. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff was wonderful. The parking was ok. tight spaces. Our car got a good size scratch from the car that parked next to us. Since is it on Lombard street we were happy that they had onsite parking, instead of having to park on the busy street. Continental breakfast was ok. -

I very much enjoyed my stay at Casa Loma and would recommended to everyone on a thigh budget. As a single female traveler I felt very safe and location is pretty straight forward to get you ti central of SF. The only thing I've missed was a kettle as there was a small little fridge in a room ans missed my morning coffees as hell! :( There is a vending machine within hotel premisses but make sure that you always have enough change or otherwise you will walk for miles to get cup of tea! I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in mid November. I have seen people raise there eyebrows when they learn this hotel is situated in Tenderloin area (which is considered a bit shady area). Staff is very friendly, location of the hotel is very good, just 15 minute-
walk to market street, also if you have car, car park is very good and
also there is a door between the car park and the rooms for the

The rate online was very competitive for a city stay. They provided
complimentary bottled water and cookies in the afternoon. As a guest,
you get a discount at the adjoining cafe, which providing a convenient

Ideally situated for everything. In Union Square in 2 minutes and easy access to all forms of transport. Staff were friendly and helpful and the diner next door excellent. Everything on the doorstep. Being in the city centre meant it was noisy at night but earplugs were provided. We slept very well without resorting to them. Very happy with it all and thoroughly recommend the hotel.
