  This was by far the best hotel we have found in San Diego. Luxury for a very reasonable price! Impressive from the moment you see it from a distance, impressive parking, impressive, AMAZING lobby, amazing guest service, amazing everything. The room we chose was a corner King suite... Everything was perfectly clean and fresh in the bathroom. Downstairs, we chose to eat at t - Everything! I was blown away with the beauty of the lobby! The staff was wonderful, our room was fantastic, (corner king), the food was good (pulled pork was best I've had in ages!), and the views were gorgeous. I loved how close it was to so many areas of SD. The pool area (with the firepits at night!) looked wonderful, but it was so windy so we didn't stay. I also loved the old pictures throughout the hotel. If you are from SD it was particularly super to see them.

  Excellent stay from checking in to being dropped off at the airport. Everyone we were encountered wanted to be helpful and it showed by going over and above. The checkin person I believe was Mel not only told us how to get back to the car rental he drew on the map how and were to get the shuttle back. The shuttle driver was very nice the.   The room we were given was 301 which is on the corner of the building so we got two windows to see the beach! We had booked an ocean view room and the view from our balcony was of Scripps park, a cave, the beach and all the silly sea lions and pelicans. The rooms are a little out of date in style but they are comfortable and the breakfast is borin... vad folk säger » g but is served on the roof!!! The staff here is amazing...we were driving around San Diego and not familiar with the area and they were always happy - The location couldn't have been better; I liked that they had a ready supply of fresh coffee in the lobby and that they had bathrooms on a couple of floors so we didn't have to go all the way back to the room if we were already out; the balcony and view were all they promised and the beds were comfortable and clean. They held our bags for us before and after check out and that is big plus for us. We had a wonderful time and will definitely stay there again soon and probably for years to come.

  Very friendly service; well laid and comfortable rooms Importantly, for those who like to wander; very close to public transport.   The front desk help was excellent. I also loved the cleanliness of the room and the view was simply gorgeous. When I told the front desk that my wife was having surgery the next day at Scrips Hospital she changed our third floor room to ground floor very near the entrance, very nice.   Outstanding location - Hotel Circle - allowed for easy commute to Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Old Town, Airport, and more.   I loved being so close to the beach and able to hear the waves at night. The staff was exceedingly nice & very helpful. When booking, I had forgotten to mention that I would need a handicapped room. They very easily changed my room at no additional charge - The rooms were simple and so confortable.   I remember this as the former Sands from being born and raised in San Diego for 35 years. I picked this location as it was easy access to all locations. The property was well maintained, the room was extremely clean and comfortable. Our room was facing highway but we didn't have any difficulty in sleeping. It is not noisy at all.   It's a beautifully restored old building. They did a good job of updating it but keeping the historical touches. Great location--within walking distance of many restaurants and shops in downtown San Diego. We appreciated nice little creature comforts such as the large ceiling fan over the bed and small wall cabinet next to the pedestal sink. That was lots of fun and we brought our - Charming boutique hotel with lots of charm in a historic building. It's well located in the Gaslight Quarter, close to the Convention Center and with easy access to all the things that make San Diego fun. The rooms are very nice with a fireplace and lots of faux-antiques that made the rooms look more "Victorian" and lots of fun. It had all the modern comforts while giving the impression that we were staying in Wyatt Earp's old San Diego. I'd definitely stay there again.
