  We liked that we were right next to the river where there is a park that runs all along it. We walked each morning along the river and enjoyed the sights - condos, herons, grass snakes.   Good hotel. Very clean, the included breakfast was nice, enough selection for all 4 of us to eat what we felt like. We got there a little early ( a little after 2) and they were very accommodating about checking us in early.   Staff was great. We had a lot of luggage and a car to return. Gave us easy directions to rental car facility, we hopped on the rental shuttle back to the terminal and John picked us up and stopped by two restaurants to check on wait times. On our last day, we deposited our suitcases to the front desk in the morning and asked them to drive the suitcases in the hotel shuttle and picked us up from the Link Light Rail station at the end of the day and head straight to the airport to save time.   Our grandchildren ages 8 and 12 absolutely love the pool and beach. We were taking pictures of their sand castles well after dark on a Saturday night. We have stayed at Sandcastle several times before this trip during spring break. The restaurant food was tasty and satisfying; the kids menu (espcially the macaroni and cheese) was very good, too. - I enjoyed many of the restaurants in the area and I like the proximity to Seattle, Bellingham and Vancouver. She helped out trying to clean up the very smoking room we had to stay one night in.   The ac in the first room we were given was not working properly. Called down to the desk and they moved us to another room and it was fine. Comfortable bed and pillows. Very clean and the bathroom had a great heat lamp and fan! Also, my friend forgot her toothbrush and they had one for her.
