  We had a wonderful stay with our family- the rooms are bit cramp, but we knew this. We wanted to stay near union square and that we did. We were able to really enjoy everything in walking distance. We would return again.   Hotel had a more personable feeling about it - some of the larger hotels are so impersonal. Staff were extremely friendly and greeted you upon arrival and departure. Staff were very responsive. The location is extremely good - quiet and within walking distance to many of the tourist sites. The service is superb and the staff courteous and polite. The dining experience is fabulous, and the chicken curry (ask for the white meat to be changed for dark meat) is divine. Room service is rapid, with the slowest delivery being 32 minutes - that would be extremely fast for most 5 star hotels that I have stayed in.

  We booked the King Deluxe room. From letsbookhotel.com the value was awesome for San Fran. The bed was very comfortable. The room was clean and far uptodate than standard hotel rooms, iphone docking on the clock, widescreen tv, DirectTV... Yes I said DirectTV. And right in the middle from all the shops - This was my first stay at Abri, but it won't be my last. What a perfect oasis in the busy shopping area and so conveniently located to mass transit.   Huge surprise...located off of Union Square in what used to be a very downtrodden area...a little jewel in the middle of Powell Street. Fantastic restaurant shares the beautiful lobby. The decor throughout is tasteful the decorator highlighted the elegance of the old hotel and the bathrooms in the rooms are redone beautifully. We upgraded to junior suite which was lovely and and interior room very quiet; you w - Everyone was so friendly and the staff went out of their way to make sure that we would be comfortable. They even suggested that we might want to change our room because they were afraid that being on a lower floor we'd be bothered by the noise of the street! Then they checked on us to make sure we were not bothered by the noise at all.   This hotel is "top drawer" all the way! - The hotel was quite grand, and very luxerious in the common areas. The location worked well for us, as we seemed to be no more than a 10 minute cab ride from just about every where we went. The view from our Tower room was the clincher. We had a beautiful bay view.
