  We had a 2nd floor apartment on a 2 storey block - try to ask for the 2 storey buildings when you book. It was fantastic. The location is great, just in front of the beach.We sat on our balcony every night and watched the sun go into the sea and then the sky turn beautiful colours. It was good to be opposite the shops. We liked the pineapple in the fridge when we got the - The view of Molokini Crater, Kahoolawe, and Kameole Two was unparalleled. The morning snorkling off the rocks in front of Hale Pau Hana afforded a great variety of fishes and many green sea turtles. Our unit was superb and the other guests and staff were friendly.

  This is Hawaii's Hawaiian Hotel. We had a room on the main floor, garden view, room 178 (smoking outside). It didn't face the large area of the garden, but it did have a small garden outside our room. We enjoyed it more because it was secluded. You could see the ocean through the trees. The hotel sponsors a cultural enrichment and community give-back program that encourages its employees to honor their Hawaiian culture and to participate in community ventures.   It is the best location for view. You have the sound of the ocean, and a view that doesn't compare. The one bedroom condo we had was upgraded, very clean, fully equipped and comfortable in every way. It's not a hotel so there's no check-in. Be sure you know your room number before you get there.   The staff were friendly, but busy. Anyone who made noise before 8am were reminded of the quiet rule. Everything was well-regulated, including the parking- you better park between the lines or else! Location was great, we didn't realize how close the Inn was to the road to Hana, this was a great plus. Sandy was a great host and it was nice to meet other travellers staying at the Inn. Side note - unlike most hotels it was very very dark and quiet at night, this made for a restful night's sleep!
