  I have been staying here at papakea everytime I come to maui for the last 25 years. I love the property and the staff is always nice and helpful. I always feel like I gat my value for my money. - The resort is clean and friendly

  I love the hospitality room they allowed us to use after we had to check early and could not catch a plane until night so after Whale watching we could take a bath before traveling.   Loved the atmosphere on the grounds with the open-air lobby and tropical landscaping. The on-site restaurant had excellent food and a view of the pool and ocean. The tiki torch lighting in the evenings with the sound of the conch shell and great entertainer was also very memorable. All the people in the resort were very friendly and welcoming. It was a really nice touc - We liked how close we were to the beach. I left my sliding glass door open all night so I could hear the ocean. Very soothing. There are a lot of places to stay on Maui, I feel that I stayed in the best location!! Easy to get in and out. Hwy 30 just down the street. The staff made it extremely easy to come and go. They weren't pushy, but available when you needed them.

  We enjoyed the relaxed beach town feel of the whole area. The condo was gorgeously decorated and so comfortable for our brief stay.

  An operator of airport shuttle did not know the hotel location, so I walked around almost 300 yards. - The staff was very helpful and the room was great. We had a very good experience.

  Very spacious, clean and comfortable space. The bathroom and kitchen were beautifully decorated and a joy to use. Maid service was good, even though we participated in the "go green Kauai" program. Parking was plentiful and just outside the door. We had an ever so small view of the ocean even though I paid for resort view. Lots of restaurants and ... vad folk säger » shopping nearby. A beautiful, sandy beach which was good for swimming or surfing was relatively close by. - Well appointed large rooms, nice bedding with comfortable and supportive mattresses, beautiful bathrooms, wonderfully supplied kitchen, washer and drier with detergent, great appliances, nice pool and hot tub, great location. Yes, the view is not great, but it is private and quiet and comfortable. It is hard to beat for the price.

  The location is beautiful, the hotel is beautiful, staff very friendly and helpful. After arrival they sent us to occupied room, when we returned to front desk, they upgraded us and gave us a voucher for the restaurant. I wish my stay were longer!

  Loved the location - right on the beach with a range of water sports activities available right outside the hotel door. Walking distance from a huge number of restaurants, shops, international market, bus stops, etc. There were also some shops and take aways in the building itself which was very convenient.   The location is beyond belief. The views are amazing. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the entire hotel has a nice easy, non-pretentious vibe that fits authentic Hawaii. This isn't Las Vegas in the Islands and we love that it isn't. We love the beach, the access, and the incredible Lanai, Molokai, ocean view. - We loved the apartment that we were given as it was facing the ocean. The 2 bedroom unit fit our family of 7. We felt at home and the unit provided everything that we needed. We loved that Mahana had the Expedio desk with the helpful Susan Ramos who assisted us in planning our tours. The Mahana is just 5-7 mins walk to the supermarket which is a plus and is just near the shuttle bus stop.
