  As I say, I wanted this hotel for its location; the hotel itself did nothing to detract from its convenient location: quite the opposite, it was admirable in its services. - Quiet place next to a pond,with nice view near the Wrekin hill, 10 miles from Shrewsbury, comfortable free parking. Good value for the price.

  We arrived to a warm welcome on a cold December afternoon, after a family funeral. We immediately felt more like being at home than in a hotel. The owners are friendly, the accommodation in a gorgeous Georgian farmhouse is clean, spacious, comfortable and sympathetically decorated. We enjoyed being able to sit on big squashy sofas in the lounge ... vad folk säger » in the evening with coffee, to chat and wind down after a rather emotional day- just like being at home. The view of the illuminated church from our b - We cannot praise this guest house and its great owners Mel and Brian, their lovely family...including their entertaining resident pooch Basil, enough. This heritage accommodation is quiet, spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Excellent quality tea, coffee, biscuits and water is supplied in the room and the gourmet breakfast was delicious. What we will be eternally grateful for was their support (wine and cups of tea), while we were stressed out trying to locate our lost teenage son i

  I am so impressed with this place, I recommend it 100%. I have stayed afew times on now but this is the first time I have written a review. Theowners have put together a fantastic business, great food, friendly barand smart rooms. I paid 79.00 for my room and the most enormousbreakfast which I think is brilliant value for money. I must add thatthe ... vad folk säger » Bar prices are not expensive - earlier review - A very comfortable stay with welcoming hosts. The room was delightful with great decor mixing contemporary with classic giving a boutique hotel feel. I suspect there is little else in the area that is providing this kind of hotel experience and it is a shame that there are not more places of this standard for the price in the UK. The food was also excellent.
