  Very friendly, efficient service. Stayed two nights enjoying a most enjoyable meal on first evening. We had booked a superior room which was nicely decorated and the bathroom was vast. Our room was at the front of the building and we were surprised how little traffic noise at night from the A.12. It made such a pleasant change from staying at a large chain hotel.

  Location was perfect for what I wanted to do. Room was a perfect size. Other hotels could not compete with the price I got. - Very comfortable relaxed atmosphere. Excellent menu, well prepared food. Very pleasant grounds.

  Although on the railway station a really good location. Views over the river (30 metres away) and 2 minutes to shops, pubs and theatre. 4 poster bedroom was country style and clean. A bit old fashioned with regard artex and woodchip but all part of it's slightly quirky nature. I would definitely recommend a stay here, staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and had complimentary toiletries in the bathroom and bed was very comfortable.   Friendly staff member who really multi tasked.Loved the idea that soon the 2 fireplaces would be in use and wished we could have stayed to enjoy that. Our first experience of heated towel rails and the room heater kept us cosy.The meals were lovely, and the dining room looked out across the roadway to the countryside beyond. Lovely being inside wa... vad folk säger » rm and cosy and seeing branches on trees bending in the wind.We chose this Inn as we had intended to visit Sutton Hoo which is close by, the next day. - I loved the welcoming service from the staff and how helpful they were. I also liked the layout of the hotel as it seemed that everything was close at hand. ie the bar, the restaurant, the lounge, the reception. This gave it a very friendly feel. The room was very comfortable with a lovely en suite which couldn't be faulted. I also liked that it was a place I could happily recommend to friends.
