  We booked The Elks Head as we were attending a wedding at Langley Castle, 15 mins drive away. The Inn is in a lovely location, by the river and off the beaten track. Its a great base for visiting Adrian's Wall and surrounding area. The room was clean, comfortable, well provided with tea/coffee and toiletries and had a lovely view of the river. ... vad folk säger » The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food was excellent and produce seemed to be locally sourced . We enjoyed a well- cooked breakfast (se - Friendly staff who happily accommodated my need for a bath to soak in on my cross-country walk. Excellent beer in the pub. There aren't enough places to stay in this beautiful but under-explored part of England - getting a room in the Elk's Head was a godsend; that it was such anime place was a real bonus.
