  The whole ambience of the hotel is excellent, Friendly staff with clean and comfortable rooms. Excellent Breakfast to set you up for the day. All set in beautiful North Yorkshire, what more could you ask for.   Very friendly welcome when we arrived. Hotel looks great and lived up to the looks. Room was good, spacious and well equipped. Downside was the shower head wouldn't stay up. Only there for 2 days so put up with it, however, if we were staying longer it would have had to be fixed or change rooms. Bar area is lovely and breakfast good and served qui... vad folk säger » ckly. Hotel is couple of miles outside Thirsk, so if you want to go in for meal/drinks, you'll need a taxi. Would definitely stay again. Great base t - White Horse Lodge Hotel was by far one of the best places I stayed at while visiting England! Christina and her husband have an amazing place and provided wonderful hospitality! I would highly recommend staying here to anyone that is traveling to Thirsk and the Yorkshire country! The hotel is not to large and not to small. It's amazing views of the countryside and is located just outside of the city! This is also a great place to stay if you are looking to tour James Herriot country!

  I obviously booked my stay there through Bookings.com so had no prior contact to my arrival with the VoY, so had no pre-expectations (except that the photo on the Bk's.com site looked pretty basic, the photo did no justice, the chalet room was a pleasant welcome, comfortable, clean beds, ample storage, WiFi, ensuite bathroom with a good pressured ... vad folk säger » shower, clean towels, ketlle w T&C&milk supplies & a free use t.v.) On arrival the staff were warm and friendly. The full English breakfas - Our twin room was clean and adequate. We liked it being a separate building next door to the Inn with our own key. The breakfast was excellent and so too was Sunday lunch and evening meals. All the staff were very helpful and friendly
