  I'm on gluten free diet - had no problems whatsoever. The chef even amended the Valentine's Day menu in the Grill Room. All the staff were exceptionally helpful. The rooftop hyropool was wonderful. - The upgrade to our room was very comfortable and appreciated. The staff were all very helpfull and friendly.

  Breakfast included smoked salmon and many other options. Quiet location in a very pretty setting, really excellent staff who were very helpful. Beds were incredibly comfortable and we got a lot of sleep. Lovely pool and spa area. - Good fitness facilities. Good dining room, breakfast and dinner.   Beautiful hotel with a lovely view of the hillside, quiet location yet close to the city centre. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful.   This hotel is like my view of an old hotel should be steeped in history and splendour. It was a pleasure the rooms are not modern although they do have the touches like the plasma tv and modern bathroom. Overall I would not change anything about the hotel it was perfect.   Everything. From the greeting at the door to reception to our bags beingplaced in the best room I have stayed in the uk. The service wasfabulous and the hotel was fantastic - will be returning - I travel an awful lot and I must say the Scotsman is one of the best hotels I have ever been in.   The 23 Mayfield was a total delight! The staff was amazing - everyone seemed like genuinely nice people and happy to help. The hotel owner even gave us an excellent advice what to do and see further in Scotland and let us leave our car in their not so big car park even thought we stayed for only one night. Our breakfast was a real gourmet treat. O... vad folk säger » ur room was very cosy but stylish at the same time. The old city centre is just a 5 min drive by bus. Totally recommend! - Ross was a very welcoming and relaxed host. He provided us with some good recommendation for locations to visit whilst in Scotland. Breakfast was a gourmet experience with a great range for vegetarians (i had the Campbell's vegetarian haggis both mornings). Room was tastefully decorated and a good size. We enjoyed a cold beer in the oudoor room, which was just what we needed after a full days travel.

  The rooms were nice and warm and very clean the room had a safe which was useful to keep and valuables room service was very prompt. A bus stop right in front of the hotel straight to town and to the airport number 12 26 and 31 all take you to Victoria street day pass costs £2.50 - The quality of accom was excellent and the price was just perfect f... vad folk säger » or us.   I loved the wonderful refurbished 17th century mansion and its magnificent gardens. The rooms were beautifully in style with amazing modern bathrooms.
