  fantastic place, food was cooked from fresh,delicious , reasonable priced, owners fabulous. Nothing was spared so we had a fantastic time. very clean, nice and quiet valley, great for walks, surroundings are spectacular. there is a drying room, great for wet afterwalk clothes. On arrival we w - From the moment you arrive I can guarantee you will feel at home. The room was quiet; had shower and was immaculately clean. Food was amazing; I had fish pie and t'other half impressed with meat quality on his pork chop. Oh plus 6 cask beers from on site brewery also oiled our evening. Lovely big breakfast followed by short stroll down to Waswater lake. This is a hidden gem of a place. Staff pride themselves on customer service; everyone friendly.   The staff were really friendly and helpful. The location was beautiful. The bar was cosy and the food good and big portions! The room was warm and comfortable. - I couldn't fault anything & the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food they serve was excellent and I would definitely stay there again.

  Loacation was perfect for Wast Water which we wanted to explore. Breathtaking scenery all around the hotel. Easy walking distance to local pubs. - The valentines 3 course meal was great and we went horse riding, the hotel staff were excellent at arranging this for us.

  The manager here is excellent - really knowledgable about the local area, helpful in his advice and relaxed and friendly. The building is historic and the location stunning. A hidden gem on the West side of the lakes. - Amazing location in a lovely old building right next to the lake, comfy bunk bed with clean bedding.   yself and my husband and another couple stayed 1 night and chose this hotel due to the location - close to seascale but the location was beautiful the bar was a typical country inn type, the staff friendly, food was good & the Kamikazi real ale went down well. The room was small but clean and comfortable and good value for the price we paid. T... vad folk säger » here was a large TeePee in the beautiful gardens in preparation for a wedding. We love Country Villages we would definitely stay again. - We wanted a real good value pub as a walking base for the weekend, we found one right in the middle of the lakes. From the moment we arrived the staff couldn't do enough for us - big thanks. The food was straightforward, good quality and great value. The beer was exceptional and again great value. We loved all the fires and so did our dogs. The rooms we ok, nothing special, but clean and comfortable. We will be returning again.

  Our fourth stay at the bridge which says it all,Stayed in the four poster room this time as usual clean and tidy with ample tea and coffee facilities.The breakfast and restaurant food were to the usual high standard with a great selection of local beers .As we like walking the location is superb and scafell pike and waswater are only five minutes ... vad folk säger » away.Wil definately be returning. - The Bridge Inn is olde-worldly and extremely comfortable. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and efficient. The food served in the cosy bar/restaurant was superb and excellent value for money. A great choice of local and guest beers and very convivial atmosphere. Our first visit but certainly not our last. A pleasure to stay at the Bridge Inn.

  We stayed in one of the cottages and it was beautiful. So clean and well maintained, just lovely. We arrived extremely late (00.10) but were greeted with a warm, friendly smile by Steve who was so attentive. He showed us around and made sure we were settled and he couldnt of been nicer if he tried. Irton Hall is Dog Friendly and mine loved all the... vad folk säger » new smells and walks in the grounds. It is only a 5 - 10 minute drive to Scafells so great location for walking which is why we were staying there. O - A real gem. Top quality accommodation at reasonable prices. Large well appointed rooms in a stunning location. A pleasure to find an establishment of this standard that serves good honest pub grub at reasonable prices - just what you need when climbing the hills. Good to see a hotel supporting local real ale brewers not not just the usual 'fizz' that most hotels offer. Food and drink prices all very reasonable, nice not to have a shock when paying the food and bar bill. Staff all very friendly
