  The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring Chester. The room was modern and clean and the staff were polite and helpful. The breakfast was lovely too with an excellent choice of menu, all cooked to order.   Have just returned home after spendig one night in the Crowne Plaza, Chester. This hotel is in an excellent location quite near the main street with shops, bars etc. Also it is beside the bus station which allows you to easily get to Cheshire Oaks outlet park and Chester Zoo. The food they served were lovely ad they also had a menu for children with 5 choices plus icecream for £2.99 which was a great offer and choice. The staff couldn't do enough to help and were very pleasant and there was a quick service.   The young male receptionist was the best receptionist I have ever met. He was friendly, helpful delightful to talk too.We arrived exhausted after an eventful day he was the most calming accommodating chap, nothing was too much effort for him.The room was excellent the bottled water and shortcake biscuits went down a treat. The breakfast was lovely ... vad folk säger » served by two people who were so good at their job - We booked a midweek spa break and it was excellent - the room was huge and well appointed, we were spoilt for choice both breakfast and dinner and the food was cooked to perfection, the service couldn't be faulted and the spa treatments much appreciated. We would definately consider a return visit, but for more than one night next time....

  The whole experience at the Abode Chester was superb. I requested a balcony with our room overlooking Chester race course and this was provided. The maids replaced all towels daily, made the bed and topped up the toiletries and coffee tea etc. They also did this at your convenience. The location of the hotel is perfect, about a 5 minute stroll to the centre of Chester and parki - The staff were the most friendly hotel staff I have ever met. We got lost on the way there and the receptionist stayed on the phone for 20 minutes directing us. I travel a lot for business and pleasure and have never experienced customer service as good as this. The bed was also like sleeping on a cloud.

  I called to say I might be late; the receptionist was very helpful and clearly told me what the options were; when I arrived she was friendly and checked me in quickly/efficiently.   It met our needs exactly: a small, quiet, comfortable B&B with a friendly hostess - happy to supply information if asked but not forcing her company on us. Spacious bedroom, excellent breakfast. We'd certainly go back if in the area and would recommend it to anyone. BTW, I'm amused that the quoted review says "it's a short and pleasant walk in... vad folk säger » to Bath city centre", given that Bath is 200 miles away and Green Gables is in Chester.... - Lovely, clean B&B with friendly service and good value for money. Stayed one night in a twin room with my son as he had an exam early in the morning and the hostess couldn't have been more helpful while still being unobtrusive. The room was spacious and comfortable and very clean! Facilities include Sky, free Wi-FI and parking. Tasty breakfast with plenty on offer. It is a 15 minute walk into the town centre.
