  Warm and comfortable with everything we could want. Stayed in Silverdale which was large with a gorgeous bathroom and comfortable bed. Great choice for breakfast. - Friendly atmosphere created by the staff and excellent servicethroughout. Rooms are very spacious and have recently been decorated toa high standard.

  From the moment my girlfriend and i arrived to the moment we left , we were treated to a first class service , the staff were friendly and helpfull , the rooms were beautifuly presented and clean . The hotel was faultless in every way , we are certainly going to go back . We can also highly recommend the restaurant . Breakfast was really good and didn't cost any extra, room was pretty decent, lots of tea & coffee etc. good location, comfy beds - couldn't really fault anything.   We had simply the best time here. A supremely comfortable room, in which we had our best two nights sleep of our whole holiday. The Derby Arms offers a full and delicous menu, fine wine, great beer, friendly people, historic bar surroundings with lots to look at. Lovely countryside to walk around.   I'm quite surprised that the hotel is only 2* as the facilities were excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. I accidentally booked a twin room instead of a double via this website, sent them an email concerning this error, and my room was changed the next day and I was notified via a phone call.   Warm welcome and friendliness, nothing too much trouble. We were kindly given an early breakfast as as I was competing in the Great North Swim (by the way, Jenny and Stuart, if you read this, it went really well and the water wasn't too cold at all!) and it was no problem at all for us to bring a take-away back to the B&B the night before; in ... vad folk säger » fact, a table was kindly laid for us to eat it in the conservatory. Breakfast choice and quality was excellent. Also nice to be able to book a single - This is a very nice place to stay for sure. There are some very nice touches such as the sherry in the room for guests. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. The property is within walking distance to an excellent pub in town. We were here for 2 nights and enjoyed it very much. The couple who own the property also board rescue dogs...the dogs are very friendly too. As mentioned in another recommendation, they allow dogs, but you would not know it. The rooms were
