  The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and of a very good standard. We were staying the week before Xmas and the hotel had entered into the Xmas spirit.   best hotel ever! We stayed in a twin oriental themed room, very tastefully done. In the words of my 11 yr old " Where else would you find a 19th century Tibetan bridal Sedan chair in your bedroom?" Very child friendly, lots of toys and games and the pool has flippers and balls etc for having fun with. Books on every imaginable subject adorn the place, you need - We all absolutely loved this hotel. It was warm, welcoming and friendly. We had two twin rooms. Both were spacious and included two armchairs and a coffee table Things that really pleased us were: fridge with fresh milk and bottled water fresh coffee with cafetiere teapot ironing board and iron full-sized toiletries in bathroom plenty of books everywhere in the hotel, plus games and jigsaws swimming pool beautiful gardens. wonderful restaurant meals wonderful breakfast I could go on and on.

  The character of the hotel had been carefully preserved in the recent refurbishment and the quality of the furnishings etc was superb. When we had a problem with the air conditioning in our room, one of the managers Sam McCoy was very apologetic and ensured we were moved to a higher grade room as there were none available of the same grade. We loved t - Friendly efficient staff, clean rooms which were warm, plenty of seating for piece,quiet and privacy, dressing gown and slippers great,lovely food and good choice for breakfast. Complimentary newspapers and magazines. Decor and flowers displays were welcoming. Pictures with history of Wood Norton provided interest and the views were wonderful.

  Room was clean, fresh, and really comfortable. Hotel is ideally situated as there is a lot going on locally. We loved the garden centre and the steam train, they are both in the country park just around the corner from the hotel. Recommend the breakfast at the restaurant next door, lovely fresh food, all looked and tasted fabulous. We arrived early and the receptionist 're-jigged' the rooms so that we could leave our things and freshen up in one that was ready before meeting our friends.

  Really well looked after. I phoned reception for fresh milk for our coffee. It was there in minutes. The food was first class. Extensive choice at breakfast. The dinner was really really good and sitting in a lounge with a log fire having our coffee after dinner was really enjoyable.
