  Was a bit wary given the bad reviews, but this was a fantastic experience. Lovely old castle with modern facilities, friendly staff, peaceful location with large grounds, huge beds, superb breakfast, and the gym and pool facilities were top class.   We visited the Cults as we were attending a family party being held in the reception hall within the hotel so it was great leaving the reception and going straight to our room rather than having to hang around waiting on taxis. Great night overall & a Great Hotel, Thanks - The staff couldn't have been more friendly, efficient and obliging. As we were going to a wedding, we asked if we could get into our rooms before official check in time and it was not a problem.   Reception staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were visiting as daughters had a competition for which they had to arrive at 8am. As breakfast didn't start until 8 the receptionist ensured there were 2 takeaway breakfasts available so my daughters were still able to eat before their competition.
