  This is a beautiful place to stay. It is immaculate and elegant. We stayed in a huge room with wonderful views. The décor is tasteful and it was spotlessly clean and fresh. The owner is extremely warm and hospitable and went out of her way to make us feel welcome and to make sure that our stay was really special. Nothing was too much trouble for the guest house owner Carey - we had fresh milk and water brought to our room every evening and even left us wine glasses and brandy glasses! it was a joy to stay here in such beautiful countryside in such a lovely house. We looked forward to our cooked breakfast every morning which was yummy! we will be going back.

  Shaldon is a beautiful, spotlessly clean village with plenty of character. Hosts were very helpful without being intrusive. Breakfast plentiful and good. Bed very comfortable and room warm on a very chilly weekend. Milk in a flask rather than mini cartons. Good size TV. Large shower. Soft, fluffy towels and flannels, changed daily.
