  the staff were very helpful and courteous, i cant fault the service ,including the night porter , the rooms were nice clean and for the price really good value for money , I would definetly use Alder House again - I found that the Hotel was relaxed and informal; the bed was very comfortable and the hotel was not too noisy. I have no complains however I would like to suggest that the place could do with more housekeeping staff (having been a chamber maid myself at one time) otherwise its good value for money. - The hosts were very polite and hospitable when needed.   Fantastic Hotel. Lovely and friendly, very warm and clean. The food in the restaurant was superb. Recently renovated, so very fresh. - The Hotel is excellent. I now only book at this Hotel when staying in this area on business.
