The area is set out of the hustle and bustle of the city centre, but has a number of lively bars and restaurants within 5 minutes’ walk serving traditional tapas and Castilian cuisine.
The famous Reina Sofía museum is just 400 metres away, while the charming Retiro Park and Prado Museum can be reached on foot in 20 minutes.
Km1 Atocha Apartments are located within 15 minutes’ walk from Plaza Mayor Square and Puerta del Sol. Barajas Airport can be reached via the nearby metro in 40 minutes.

Very good information about the apartement and good service of the
staff. Staff on site does not speak english but reception that was
called on the phone does speak english. Very quiet studio in the back
courtyard. Shopping groveries, banking etc. directly in front the
studio. Free service to leave baggage with reception at Plaza Mayor was
offered, however we did not use it because at Atocha train station you

Good location, 2 main to metro, 5 main to Atocha and 15 main to Prado.
Clean simple room with air condition and tv.
Despite booking a studio room with kitchen, they offered us a larger three-room apartment in their other hotel for the same price. The value for money is excellent. Kitchen and toilet were brand new. The apartment was big, around 60 square meters. The location was also great, 15-20 min walk from the main square. But in Madrid, every location is great due to its great metro.

Location is good, near metro and Atocha station plenty of places to eat a have a beer in the street nearby. Sofia museum few blocks away.
No hangers in the wardrobe. Only one fork but another was provided by
the staff. Studio was On ground floor which was not to be seen online.
Entrance into apartment strictly after 14.00hrs, which is gicen on
letsbookhotel.com but you have to pass the time if you arrive early.
Check-in and chek-out: there are not reception. We arranged time of our
arriving a day before, got a confirmation from Km by e-mail. But when we
arrived nobody met us, we called staff 3 times by mobile. As the result
we waited near closed door 1 hour. Room is on dawn floor, fotos of
apartments on site are very different from reality.
The hotel doesn't have a reception, so you have to call when you arrive and wait around 20-30 mins for someone to come. The staff doesn't speak English, which is terrible for someone whose work is based on foreign tourists. The building, the stairs, the floors and the walls were pretty old and needed redecoration. There was also a little bit of dust, but we had a broom in the kitchen to clean it. The apartments window was facing the street and anyone can see in your room.

bed sheets were not very clean, personal doesn't speak English.
If you don't call ahead they will make you wait to show you the place and deliver keys. Place is smaller than it looks in the pics. The surrounding neighborhood do not look friendly but didn't have an issue to be honest.
A member of staff is delayed for more than half an hour to give the keys, as it was siesta. He do not pay attention to my wife, when she feel sick, because of the sun heat... It's awesome disregard, disrespect, inhumane behavior, arrogance!.
