It took about 15 min by walk from the Atocha to the hostal. And it is
right opposite to the Prado Museum. For a late visit there, this could
be ideal. The room is not very small considering what usually the
location will imply. Room is clean and tidy. I especially like the small
details of their linen which gave comfort to one's stay. Even though
the old staff at night who can not speak good English, he helps us out
on the direction. There're also cafe and restaurants around,

The hotel is not very fancy, but has all the essentials (including wifi), and it is very clean. The location is very good as well, being close to the main museums and many popular bars and restaurants. Also, the Atocha railway station is close by, which includes an express bus to the airport which runs day and night at high frequency. In summary I would say the hotel is very good value for money indeed.
Not having used hostels in many years I was apprehensive but the reviews were accurate. My teenagers agree, our room was great; well located, clean, secure, very satisfactory. I would absolutely stay there again, and assure others to be happy with hostal Bruna. Lori A.
Really lovely, friendly courteous staff /family.
Fantastic location for the 3 museums + rail /metro connections
Excellent eating/drinking places just outside
Good to have ones keys to front door and room
Really good of them to store luggage till 6pm
Very clean.
Very nice staff in something that resembles as a family hotel in within
the core of the city. Location is great and the culinary variety around
is good. The rooms are simple and spacious for a city hotel. Good spot
to be for few days in Madrid.
The staff is nice and provide us with useful information. The safety is
very good. We have 3 keys, the front door, the layer key and the room
key and there is also a safe in the room. It is near Prado and conveniet
to visist other places.
Immaculately clean, quiet room, helpful patron, extremely convenient for all museums with a nice bar just outside and all the best tapas bars /evening area just a short walk away. I was very pleased indeed with this hostal.
Excellent walking location in heart of Madrid, very charming and secure hostal with upgraded amenities, informative staff and superior value. I would recommend to anyone wanting to avoid overpriced hotel rates.
Great place to stay. Its a hostel not a hotel which is important to remember. The staff is super friendly. Great location, near Atocha metro. Great prices and comfortable. Will surely stay again.
Excellent location, minutes to the Reina Sofia and Prado. It is also within walking distance to the Madrid Train Station and Airport Shuttle bus stop, many restaurants and shops.
Excellent location and price. We stayed in an apartment-style room and it had laundry and a full kitchen which was very nice. The owners were accommodating to our schedule.
The location is superb! Bars and restaurants spill out in nearby lane ways. Close to museums and the beautiful botanical gardens and park. Staff were lovely and very helpful.
This is a great place. Spotless clean, better than many 4* hotels. All furniture and appliances in good shape, good isolation, comfortable and cozy.
very big room with kitchen and bakery and stove can be used, all equipment inside the kitchen, big bad, nice bathroom, coach and table.
A convenient location, 5 minutes from Atocha metro station. Prado museum also in a five or less minutes destination. Very good staff.
Great location in the center of Madrid
and very friendly stuff. This is hotel
managed by a family, very clean and
very comfortable.
Excellent location. Was more like a hotel than a hostel. Very clean and nice. Staff personable. Excellent value.
Plenty of space, well-equipped (even a teapot!). Handy to Atocha Station and Metro station. Friendly, helpful staff.
Location, facilities, staff- our second visit to this hostel and we will use again. Well-priced and comfortable.
Never seen such a clean hotel. Friendly staff, Englishspeaking. Very central, in the heart of Madrid.

Very good location and value for money. The room was small but very clean and comfortable.

Very pleasant and friendly staff. Economical hotel in an excellent location.
Very good location. We feels like home. Museums and parks - all nearby.
The staff is friedly and very fair, accomodation as expected.
clean, friendly tenants, location, perfect for visiting madrid.
Close to city center, rail station, restaurants, Prada.
very nice staff, good prize, air conditioning.
Great location and value for money.
Close to train station and Prado.
best place ever.
Cleanliness.
Great price in an expensive area. No street noise. Room nice and dark at night. Staff helpfully agreed to store a package until my return a week later.
Clean room and bathroom, price is okay, helpful staff.
Great location, right opposite Prado museum.
The only thing that falls behind is the faucet. The holder is installed
too high above for us short girls to reach.
rather thin walls [but most hotels in Spain are like that, I guess] so woken up very early by early departures.
Was given wrong info on buses to airport via Cibeles - direct bus stop closed so would have been better to go to Atocha as I had planned to originally.
but these are minor compared to the +
I would stay there again.
Forget about nearby parking space and if privacy is very important for
you perhaps you’ll prefer choosing a hotel with a less “communal”
corridor, but it didn’t disturb us.
Considering the prices its hard to find any faults.
Stayed on two occasions in a double. The first time we thought the room was really small. Second time around we stayed in another double that was even smaller. If you have a lot of luggage it would be a tight squeeze.
Not enough hot water, noise issues from the interior hotel and the street. Room requires key to exit from the inside, so in case of fire this could be a hazard.
A small room.
Nothing.
The kitchen equipment, fittings, etc. had all seen better days, but were quite all right, apart from the mugs, which were all chipped.
It was a bit cold when we stayed there.
nothing.
sometimes a bit noisy in the morning.
Due to tile flooring, internal noise is a real issue. You can hear the person down the hall coughing or talking. Poor introduction from staff as to exterior door unlock button, and other hotel features. We asked for no maid service but got it regardless.
No fan or air con in the room, basic beds.
