- Location was perfect. Right in the middle of the centre. You can see almost all attractions by walking. Many shops around, many restaurants and food options. Make sure you explore the neighborhood before you decide where to get you meal.

Very good location in the city center, between Sol and Sevilla metro
stations. When checking in I got keys to the room and front door, which
was very convinient, because in other hostels sometimes you dont get the
keys and have to leave them at the reception desk every time you get out
(which is something which I really do not like in other hostels).

Pickpocketed on way to hotel on metro so no cash at all. Staff at hotel very helpful even with limited english! They phoned police and they allowed us to use hotel phone to contact home for money transfer. Great breakfast and coffee facilities - very central. cool concept. highly recommended.

You can't beat the location. And while no hotel costing less than a
fortune is totally quiet, I was pleasantly surprised at how relatively
peaceful Madrid City Rooms was. The double windows did not block out all
of the cacaphony outside, but they did a much better job dampening it
than I expected. The man at reception was very friendly, and anyone with
even a little Spanish language ability will appreciate his warm
personality. Don't be put off by the rooms with their bathrooms down

Central läge i staden - the location was great. The shower seemed like it had and endless amount of hot water! The staff was very helpful, especially since my spanish is very poor. - Staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent location for the city centre. First of all, we have to say that the staff was unbelievable!! All of them were extremely friendly and extremely helpful as we had lots of questions and requests.
The room was exactly what we needed…no complaints.

Hotel staff spoke very good English, and they were very pleasant. It
was very quiet inside all the hallways and doors, so I knew I would be
able to sleep well. Safe. We had a key to get into the building later
in the evening. The evening staff worked very hard to print out a
ticket for us. He was very kind to do so. Polite, honest, hard working.
The mini frig was a wonderful item, as was the hairdryer. I would
gladly recommend the Hostal, especially if you want to be in the center
of Madrid.

Mycket centralt läge. Rum mot insidan slipper trafiken men andra gästers röster hörs rätt tydligt. Men dom tystnar frammot kvällen. Entren, under renovering, gjorde en först lite osäker på hotellets kvalitet. Men det befanns både rent och snyggt - ett mycket bra läge, nära till många sevärdheter!

The location of the hostel is close to shopping venues, metro station and tourist interests. The staff was helpful and kind they gave me my breakfast at night since I was leaving very early before the breakfast is served. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes next to the hostel.

The location was right down in the city and close to many sights. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the building was of the old architecture, which was charming. Superb location in beautiful side-street within easy walking distance of all the major sights. It was lovely to feel that we were in the heart of Madrid. The staff were very helpful and friendly and gave us a warm welcome even though we arrived very late after a delayed flight. Room very comfortable. There was some noise on Friday and Saturday nights from people in the street but no traffic noise.

I had a great stay in hostal Veracruz! The single room was good and very comfortable. Everything was also very clean and the staff was friendly. This is a fantastic place to stay when you need to move through the city and don't want to miss the ambiance of Madrid city centre!
