  My experience at the hotel was everything and more than i expected. From the friendly staff, to the luxurious and spacious Villa, i can without a doubt say, this has been by far the best "home-away-from-home" establishment i have ever visited.Despite the fact that there arent any activities within the hotel, my friends and i still loved every mome... vad folk säger » nt we spent there.... The ocean view was breathtaking, air so fresh, this sure was thee perfect getaway destination and certainly the best destination - We left a cable behind and they called us to say it was left behind.   Manaar House is definitely one of the best places to stay in Durban/Umhlanga. We stayed there for three nights in the self Catering Apartment. The a/c duplex unit was extremely spacious, spotlessly clean, nicely furnished and well maintained. But the best thing to report was the warm, generous and very welcomi - As a couple with young kids, it was an absolute dream staying at Manaar House as it was so kid friendly that our kids did not want to go out because of the toys provided in our section of the house!   We had the most amazing idyllic view from our balcony. The inn has seen its better days but it's wonderful still, beautiful gardens not fenced or gated like most other hotels in South Africa.   I was impressed with Tosca's attentiveness - she asked where I would like to go and brought out a map to help me. I felt very well looked after.   Very positive! I have lived in KZN all my life and often booked at expensive hotels, however Sica Guest House was a humbly experience bcoz I was treated to friendly people with no hassles! That spoilt My whole stay as - The staff was very friendly and warm. We were treated very well. The location of the hotel was very central to most tourist attractions and there was a great vibe. The hotel was ideal for a family as the fridge, kettle with beverages and sink plus microwave was a bonus as it made it possible to save on costs by not having to eat out and enjoy meals in the hotel, appreciating the views in the dining area.   We spent 6 nights at Africa Regent while holidaying in Durban, and cannot fault it! The grounds are beautiful, the room immaculate and the wonderful hosts, David and Pam, are friendly and attentive.
