  The hotel was a block from the Rijksmuseum -- the breakfast room looked across the street to the back archway. We were two blocks from the Van Gogh Museum, and on the tram and bus lines that led everywhere. We were able to take a BUS to and from the airport by walking a few steps. I suspect we had the best room in the place, a large double on the lobby flo - Let's be clear - this is a budget hotel. Basic furnishings, shared bathroom. If this is what you are after this is a very good choice. Great location. Tram at door. Three major museums no more than 500 m away, canals also, supermarket nearby, plenty of food options, and the wonderful vondelpark. Good basic breakfast. Bed comfortable. Clean facilities. Good vibe.

  Situated in an amazing area, so beautiful, gave me a different outlook on Amsterdam. Surrounded by everything you need. Bars, clubs, cafe's, restaurants and even the drop of point for tourists is just a 2minuit walk away. You can return to your hotel at any time through the night into the morning. Very friendly Asian staff. Basic breakfast but good 8am-10am. Wifi excellent in rooms.

  Loved the place! What's not to like? Don't understand the negative reviews. It is right on the canal, the view from my 2-d floor room was fantastic. It took me a little bit over an hour to get to the hotel from the airport - so easy to get to and to find. Tram #4 stops right on the bridge in front of the hotel and goes to and from the Central Sta... vad folk säger » tion - and there is a train that connects it with the airport. The room is very basic, but enough for a quick tour of the city (I stayed less than 24 - The host was great, he helped us with our bags and was really friendly. We actually had some changes to our room arrangements but we managed to come to an agreement regarding the payment so we appreciated the flexibility. Breakfast was normal, we didn't try everything though, but it was good enough for us. We got a room for 4 and it was spacious with wide windows which created a nice effect when the sun comes in during the day. We had a view of one of the canals which was lovely. The beds were

  Very friendly staff, location was perfect, located right off the Dam behind the royal palace. Very clean. You get your room key and a key to the front door so you don't have to worry if someone is at the desk....you can let yourself in, anytime! - The location is great and the staff were very helpful.
