  This place has a really good location for those travelling by car. Located at Meknes Medina, just 7 minutes walk from the main square and 3 minutes from medina markets, it has a private car parking just in 100 meters nearby, thus you can come by car and leave it in a safe place. Riad is being run by an Englishman (to whom it might be important), a - The hotel was lovely but very hard to find, we wouldn't have found it if it wasn't for some friendly locals. Food was delicous, the best food we ate while traveling through Morocco. The staff are very friendly and helpful they go out of their way to accommodate you. The locals in the market are all very friendly. The market was amazing the best we had seen in Morocco, a definate must do.

Rachid and Fattah saw to our every need and helped with all our need including walking to our car, showing us where the secure parking was and helping with the luggage.   The staff were welcoming and friendly and were always ready to help. Nothing was too much trouble - a real 'family' feel to the hotel, although they have 10 rooms I think. The rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated with a real eye for detail.   I had a great time at Riad d'Or. It was exactly the type of accommodation I was looking for: one representing the legendary Moroccan hospitality. This means for me good food, laid-back atmosphere, water presence, beautiful Arab decoration, smiling ladies and attentive gentlemen. They would go up from the reception till the roof - Tthe “Superior Quadruple Room” (the Pacha room if you are looking at the riad’s website) easily accommodated two married couples (one double bed and two twin beds that the staff had pushed together) in somewhat separated/private areas. The room also had a comfortable couch on which a short person or child could sleep.   Beautiful hotel. Helpful staff. Excellent location very near Medina, but not in the midst of the ruckus. - It's a new riad and very pretty and unique inside. It's worth to stay there for the experience. It's right next to the medina (old town). All staff were very friendly.

The number two guy had to be the happiest individual I've ever encountered in my life. Meknes was a nice change from Marrakesh. Many fewer tourists and many, many fewer locals trying to separate you from your money.

  Nicely restored riad. The impression is a bit minimalistic. The main structures (fountain on the courtyard, the woodwork and the gorgeous ceilings) are restored in classic style. This is complemented with simple, but comfortable ikea style furniture. Location in the medina is good. The riad owner immediately started a fire in the salon, found a couple of space hesters to warm us up. This a well run place and I recommend it.

  The riad is simply amazing. We have stayed in several riads in Fes and other towns in Morocco, and none came close to lola Halima. Yves the owner provided fantastic service and was a tremendous host throughout. It is within easy reach of Fes, Volubilis and Ifrane, and allows great day trips. Highly recommended! - A gorgeous riad, which resembles a palace (and indeed it once belonged to a member of the royal family), well kept by a French university professor, a smart old man filled with humour.
