Excellent location right next to the train station (as the name suggests). Good base for exploring charming Matsumoto. Staff are very friendly and generally have a good level of spoken English. Rooms are small but comfortable. Wifi signal was very strong in the rooms (enough to support Skype video calls). Good communal baths on the 7th floor. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a few nights.
alla recensioner » The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The location of this hotel near the train station, made it very convenient to get to from the Shinkansen. The hotel staff were very friendly and they helped us find four of the towns free bikes so that we were able to see Matsumoto castle before it closed. The lounge next to the bar was also really nice to hang out at and have a few drinks. Excellent, friendly welcome by the breakfast team, which serves well prepared Japanese food with a smile! Close to the station which has a reasonable selection of eateries. The hotel will lend you a bicycle for exploring further afield such as the castle, which is astonishingly beautiful. This hotel is only 3 mins walk to Matsumoto Station and there's a 7-Eleven nearby for some hot food and groceries. Wifi in room. Arrived early but staff happily stored our luggage safely and took them to our room so they were waiting for us when we returned from the days outings. Room decor was a little bit dated - was probably very chic about 25 years ago but now looks a bit tired. Room had the faint smell of smoke even though it was "non-smoking", but it wasn't too much of a problem. Odd smell in the bathroom, and slightly uneven floor in the corridor of the 4th floor, which tripped me up a couple of times. Some of the other hotel guests got a little noisy. Rooms are little small. You smell some smoke even in "non smoking" rooms. Instead of free wired internet wireless internet should do it nowadays. The room was very very small, and the shower was just claustrophobic. But the most annoying thing was the bed - very uncomfortable, old mattress that lest you feel every spring in it... Room tiny, even by Japanese standards. Nothing. No wi-fi in the room. One of the staff was rather unhelpful. Even though we told him that his colleague told us that it was possible, he insisted there is no such thing and kept telling us he can't do anything. Nothing that I can think off. The bed was a bit small for a double. Nothing to complain about. Small bed n room. Room is a little cramp. Nothing at all. Price was on the high side. Size of room was similar to Toyoko Inn but is terribly short of racks for organisation. nothing. Double bed was 'very' small. Although the bed is for two people, it is very small. Slightly dated rooms. Room a bit old and small. The wifi was spotty. The room smelled like smoke. not very modern dark interior, dark furntiture style is that of a traditional mountain hotel, breakfast bought separately. Walls are a bit thin and you can hear what's happening in the hall. Room was tiny and aged.
