The service was very good, we were picked up from the nearby train
station in a luxurious car. The hot spring bath within the room was
excellent, with a forest view, television, and direct access to the
bathroom and room. The drinks provided in the refrigerator was

We found about Fukuzumiro in Lonely Planet and decided to give it a try in order to escape from the more crowded cities in our 2 weeks visit to Japan.
We stayed in Fukuzumiro two nights in a weekend last may and, simple put, the best experience of our trip.
Short of words to exprese what an awesome time we had, from the truly japanese cuisine, hot thermal "onsen" and the friendly staff, all was 100% perfect.

Very tradiotional ryokan, ten minutes with bus from Hakone yumoto station. The rooms are large and comfortable with a beautiful view on the mountains and river.
