Yumoto Fujiya Hotel wasn't super cheap, but very conveniently located, minutes from Hakone-Yumoto where you will have to change trains no matter what. It's a good place to arrive the previous night to have an easier start the next morning. The room, although not very cheap, was super spacious and comfortable. Bed: More comfortable than most beds we got in Japan. Breakfast: It's not cheap $20/pp, but you get a choice of mixed buffer (western + japanese) or a Japanese restaurant. AC: worked great.
alla recensioner » Excellent location very close to the train station but very quite and relaxing. We were traveling around east Japan and this was the most expensive and poshest place we stayed but it was well worth it. Staff were great. It was clean, spacious and very comfortable. According to my companion the Onsen was perfect. I chose to get a shower with the dazzling array of toiletries provided. As well as an excellent base for exploring Hakone we took a day trip to Tokyo which took under 2 hours by train. . The staff there are very friendly and the most important thing is some of them can speak English! We only stayed there for one night. We got up late in 2nd day morning and we missed breakfast. When we check out, they saw our breakfast tickets and they worried if we will be hungry without breakfast. And they called restaurant and arranged lunch for us. We didn't go there to have lunch because we must run back to Tokyo to meet our friends, but we really thanks them for this. Huge room for Japan standard. View from rooms is good with forest and river. Can see Hotel from Hakone Yumoto station.Private Hot Spring good for people like us who are not used to bath in public.Massage was fair. Tip: Ask for rooms with balcony on top floors. Very close to train station and starting point to Hakone region. Great onsen private and public. Room very cozy, spacious, with all necessary equipment.
