  My wife and I stayed at the Royal Hotel the last night of our stay in Greece. We were looking for someplace close to the airport, due to our early morning flight. We were pleasantly surprised when, upon check-in, we were informed that we had been upgraded to a "Sea view room", which included breakfast, however, due to the fact that we would be... vad folk säger » leaving before 5:00 am, the restaurant would not be open, so the front desk personel arranged to have a box breakfast for my wife and I. We were inv - The staff! They are absolutely the best. Even before we arrived, they made themselves available via email to answer all sorts of questions as well as offer very helpful advice. Those interactions made us feel as if we had friends waiting to greet us in Greece. This was especially helpful since Thessaloniki was the start of our 17-day trip (via car) throughout Greece. When we arrived at the airport at midnight (after traveling nearly 24 hours from San Diego), three of our five pieces of luggage

  The owners are a cultivated Greek family who are fluent in English and German. They had a warm, genuinely friendly attitude towards us. The hotel is surrounded by a lot of green, there are fruit trees of many sorts, palm trees and oleander and hibiscus bushes that are watered every day by the owners. The rooms are spacious - Incredibly friendly and welcoming hosts. The hotel has a great garden and facilities for small children. Clean and big rooms (2 separate rooms + kitchen/dining room). Nearby beaches are breathtakingly beautiful.

  I stayed very shortly but felt like I was staying at my own beach house. It is situated on a beautiful sandy beach. The staff is very nice and friendly. We stayed in a standard room. The bathroom is old and should be renewed. It has a very big terrace and we enjoyed sitting there. I wish they offered breakfast as well. But there is a hotel next to... vad folk säger » the villa where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner. I would recommend the villa especially for families with small childeren. And private parki - Fabulous location on the sea front. We just took the double room with extra bed for the little one and room was clean (and cleaned regularly with fresh towels when we needed them) Staff were very friendly - and drinks service on the beach was excellent! (not to mention free sunbeds and parasols - and always some free) Safe beach for kids. It's not a big resort so nice and friendly but still plenty of restaurants to choose from just 5 mins drive down road.

  Excellent location - just a minute away from the beach and the restaurants. We had very big, spacious and comfy room with pool view and it didn't get hot during the day.   Avra Hotel is in a fantastic location. Fantastic beaches only a few minutes away. We were made to feel so very welcome by the staff, in particular Maria, who was so very helpful. We cannot praise the cleanliness of the accomodation enough. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone who wishes for a relaxing holiday.   I stayed at Agrili 7 nights end of May - beginning of June 2013. The place is very nice, surrounded by pine trees. The smell of pine during the morning and evening is wonderful. Because it was not full, the owner gave me a suite with sea view instead of the single room with garden view I booked. I appreciated this. The room had all the facilities: fridge, electric stove, kitchen stuff (plates, spoons, forks, knives .. etc) and als - Agrili was phenomenal!! The apartments were clean, well equipt, spacious, with a seeview balcony. The pool is beautifull and clean. I recommend lunch that the owners wife makes, it's exelent and it costs arount 7 eur. There is a parking and kids playground. The yard is big and beautifull. The beach is 10 minute walk and I recommend haveing a car, because all the other beaches around Elia are amazing. Wifi is available at the bar next to the pool. The owners are very kind and will help you with

  The location is superb with a nice see view, very close to marvelleous beaches (by car). The hotel manager Yannis is very friendly.
