  Charming decor, lovely building with gorgeous woodwork, pleasant courtyard, friendly staff, excellent location for enjoying the small town of St, Jean de Luz and for day trips into the countryside.   Although it is on a busy roundabout the rooms are very quiet due to soundproofing and quiet air conditioning. Our room 401 had a balcony which we used as the views to the mountains and harbour were good. The beach, shops and restaurants were just around the corner and the market on Tuesday morning well worth a visit.   Hotel was very quiet with just a couple of other guests. Warm and friendly atmosphere. Short walk to centre of town. Breakfast very good. Room very good but bathroom was quite small. Spotlessly clean. - Great place to stay, well located, excellent rooms and facilities.

  We only stayed for 4 days in La Maison Tamarin but didn't want to leave really. It is just perfect, even the rain couldn't spoil our stay. There is a very cosy and beautifully decorated "lounge-salon" where you can sit to read a book, listen to music, or look tele. Our room was very nice with good beds !   This wee hotel, a renovated building with seven guest rooms, is smack-bang in the heart of Saint-Jean-de-Luz, on the main pedestrians-only walking street (thus vehicular access is from the back). Our room was big enough, but not overly spacious, and very pleasantly furnished. A comfortable bed. The bathroom was bright and modern. The breakfast room and guest salon is bright and sunny, and the breakfast is great – quite a lot of v - Our room was large, lovely, and peaceful, with a modern bathroom and comfortable bed and pillows. The location on the main pedestrian shopping street, Rue Gambetta, is perfect once you arrive. The street can be packed with people, but it closed down at 8 P.M. when we were there in April, offering complete quiet for the evening. We thought the beautifully-presented breakfast was well worth the money. St. Jean-de- Luz is a great base for seeing the Basque country, and Les Almadies is a wonderful
