The location was perfect......across the road from a lovely park. We ate dinner in the cafe in the park and the kids ran off their excess energy in the playground.
The room was more like a small wing of the house. The beds were very comfy and the shared lounge area was gorgeous.
We can't recommend this place enough.....much nicer than a soul-less

Lovely old building; great views of the lake; comfy bed; dog friendly. Also, we found the super Italian restaurant in the village that others have also mentioned!! The chef is a great guy who was happy to feed us at 10pm on a Sunday!!.

We Loved the whole stay from start to finish. Mr & Mrs Muddiman were so welcoming and the breakfasts were superb. The rooms were bigger than we expected with lovely comfortable beds and décor.

Fantastic option for St Jean d'Angely. A wonderful building to explore and the room was comfortable and bright.
There is a wonderful restaurant called Le Scorlion in the Abbey courtyard. Even though this restaurant is independent from the hotel, it's an absolute must and then you just have to wander across the courtyard back to bed. A great stay.

Extremely lovely owners who want to please in every way so friendly and hospitable making us feel very at home. Loved the bedroom so comfortable, fresh and clean. Enjoyed playing snooker whilst listening to music and cooking dinner for ourselves. Lovely breakfast provided and facilities cannot fault it! Would definitely go back. -

We received a very warm welcome and the hosts were extremely helpful about visiting the area. The chateau is old and quirky but full of character. The guest room is spacious and comfortable with beautiful views of the grounds. You have to wait a long time for the hot water to come through but, once it does, then there is no problem.
