  The hotel was small, clean and pleasant with the bonus of a swimming pool. The staff were excellent, especially when we arrived during a festival and couldn't park. One of the owners sorted this out very quickly with the local security. The situation is excellent, right in the town centre with immediate access to restaurants/cafes/shops etc. W... vad folk säger » ould certainly go back for a longer stay. - New owner (1 year) very friendly and helpful as were all members of staff. Rooms all redecorated and airconditioned. Good sized terrace overlooking the street or could have a balconied room to rear overlooking pool area. Very close to centre of town. Good price. Small enough so cleaning at the end of the stay doesn't take long. Vacuum cleaner, mop etc supplied.   An overnight stay in Bergerac was selected as part of a drive to SW France, and Le Colombier de C&R looked intriguing as a potential stay. I would recommend a visit to historic Bergerac and a stay with Betty as a memorable experience (for the right reasons!) without reservation. Try and reserve the bedroom with the balcony, - The 'chambre' was charming. Very different from the normal accommodation, slightly crazy but it provided all you could need and more. The balcony with hammock was am amazing touch in the middle of the city. Very good breakfast and helpful charming host. Also the city is very interesting and a great place to visit.

  Well Pascal made it for us. He was such a nice guy and great company, not that he intruded at all. We learned more about French culture and social life from Pascal than any guide book. Laurence, his wife, is just lovely too but we saw more of Pascal so that is why we are raving about him. Their place is supurb. Bergerac is a great place and a great base - We stayed for one night here on our way home from a holiday at this charming b&b and wish it was for longer. The room was enormous and restored to a very high level, the bed especially comfortable and shower fantastic. The whole house was full of character, peaceful and very conveniently located for the city centre. More than anything else though, Pascal and Laurence made us feel very welcome and offered help and guidance above and beyond what was expected - including Pascal going out of hi

  A lovely building which has been tastefully renovated and decorated. Around 5 minutes drive from Bergerac and a short drive to some good restaurants. We stayed in the superior double room and it was probably the best we have ever experienced in many years of travel. Breakfast was excellent and our host was a pleasure to be with. No television but we do not watch TV so for us this was also a blessing !! - Total comfort and indulgence from the beautiful annexe room with it's own access,en-suite and log fire to the first class breakfast the next morning-sadly only staying one night but would definitely return.   Tucked away (but not too far away) from the town of Bergerac, this wonderful country home was lovely and welcoming. It's situated on a vineyard (with very nice wines, by the way) and has a very stately yet comfortable feel with its large rooms, rustic kitchen and quaint courtyard. A really warm welcome from the owners, who run a vineyard from this little Chateau which is simply and tasteful decorated. There are only 4 letting rooms and it is so quiet you feel like you have the place to yourselves....a complete treasure just minutes away from Bergerec but with a sense of being deep in the country.
