  We received great service during our stay at Bamboo House Resort. Our room was great with a giant spa in the middle and a balcony overlooking the street - great for an afternoon drink and people watching. We booked a half day bicycle tour through the countryside with a local guide through the hotel, and it was great value for money at 140 RMB each... vad folk säger » compared to other quotes we received. This tour was awesome - the best thing we did in Yangshuo. The location of the hotel is awesome. Comfortable be - We liked the nice comfy bed after sleeping on a rock hard one in Guilin. The bathroom was really beautiful with a jetted tub and heated seat on the toilet. Also had a roomy shower with a rainshower head plus a handheld shower head. Close to all the shops and restaurants.

  We had booked 2 nights in a hotel in town (reviewed as quiet one) and 2 nights at Village Retreat and we wish we had spent all our days here! So much nicer to trade the awful Chinese disco sounds and scooter alarms in the morning for the ballads of birds and frogs, the perfect place to relax after all the cities! It is only a short walk along the ... vad folk säger » river Li to the city center really and they provide a very efficient shuttle service (every 2 hours from early morning to 9.30pm for free) which we on - We loved the rooms, and the beds were wonderfully soft which is rare in China. We had one of the chalets and it was great to have a big space to group and hang out in during our down time. The staff was wonderful and were happy to help us with whatever we needed. They booked taxis and shuttles, helped us with reservations, and were all fluent in English. And it was our sister's birthday one of the days, and they offered to play happy birthday over the speakers for her as a surprise and let us l
