I liked the fact that the hotel did not demand a credit card when we offered to pay cash for our 2 night stay. The credit card was already maxed and could not use it, therefore they accepted a cash deposit. Some hotels will not let you stay unless your credit card has enough funds to cover the stay. -

The hoteliers are superb people and hosts. Their motel is good. Request a riverside room; the views of St Jean-sur-Richelieu and Richelieu River at night (and day too) are fantastic. I did not have motorised transport yet the 3km walk to Centre-Ville was pleasant. Bus 34 has a stop 500 metres from the motel. Nearby service station good has a Beau

Staff were friendly and excellent. We were an English speaking group and the staff had no trouble with communications. The rooms and furnishings were old but all very clean. Shower had great pressure and water was beautiful and hot.

The owners of the said Motel is really kind and hospitable. I forgot my computer charger adaptor, but I need to use computer urgent for my business. I tried to pay the owner money to use their computer at their home. The owner gave me free to use their computer in their home and offer me a free dinner. I am really appreciate what they did to me. Nice couple running the place. She does not speak English, but he does a passable job. Both very friendly! The room was very clean. It was small, but managed to pack a lot of features in. Everything worked, and the microwave was a big plus. It was clear some thought had gone into making the room pleasant and livable.
