  We had to cancel our original two nights hotel booking in Banff due to the Hwy 1 road closure caused by the disastrous flooding. We had to change our itinerary and travel through Red Deer to get to Jasper/Banff. We were so glad that we booked into The Hidden Ridge Resort instead (the hotel previously booked and cancelled didn't have a vacancy on t... vad folk säger » he new dates)! A beautiful mountain cottage/chalet setting with a stunning view, a spacious and very well equipped one bedroom apartment was a nice ch - The view from the hot tub and warm pool. The staff were excellent and very friendly and helpful. The condo was lovely too! The kitchenette was a great thing to have to cook our own food and the BBQ was very nice to use. The inexpensive long distance phone fee was awesome as was the free parking and free shuttle bus into Banff (not to mention the free coffee and hot chocolate in the lounge/lobby all day)

  The owners- LOVELY! Super friendly and helpful. Very welcoming, knowledgeable, approachable and hospitable. The location. The exterior. I love the 'character' and theming of the room but maybe not a big bear near your head as you sleep ;) Perfect if we were 10 years younger ie. best suited for travellers in their early 20s. - Good location for Ba... vad folk säger » nff though the town is very 'touristy'.   The location - very near the Bow River and (just) slightly away from the central bustle of downtown Banff - was convenient and yet pleasantly quiet. The staff was outstanding! Very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The rooms were clean, comfortable and relatively reasonable. Ask for an upper floor room to get a better view of the mountains! - Great staff, location, comfort, and price. Rooms were clean (better than Chateau Canmore where I stayed previously)! Sorry I forgot to leave a tip as I was rushing out of there. Probably one of the best deals out there. Cheaper even than a few bed and breakfasts that I looked at. Melissa's (?) next door was a great location for breakfast (also good prices and staff). Great that parking is available. I would stay again for sure.

  Small hotel but gorgeous, located at 5 min. walk from the downtown. Excellent staff, Julia and the other 2 girls. Nice breakfast, coffee & Tea available all day. Lovely surroundings at the edge of Bannf but just 5 minute walk to downtown shopping. Price reasonable for a tourist haven.
