  I sort of fell into the Holzerwirt after a B&B that I had booked did not work out. I booked for one night but stayed an extra night because it was so lovely. Big, comfortable single room in a location in an old stone building it felt like I had air conditioning, which was great because it was brutal hot. I will be back! - This was a wonderful hotel. We booked this hotel at the last minute and only stayed one night because of our schedule, but would have stayed longer if we could. The staff was extremely helpful getting us directions to the places we wanted to go, and the food was excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

  The incredibly friendly lady who ran the place (sorry can't remember her name!). She couldn't do enough for us and she made our stay very enjoyable. The location was good, not right in Salzburg so you needed to take public transport to get in and out, but bus 4 runs right in and the stop is only a 2-3 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is located at a very convenient region, where Mirabell is reachable in 10 min by bus, bank and super market are in 5 min walking distance. The room is decorated in a comfortable home style. Facilities are good and handy, with a fully equipped kitchen. The boss is really nice and helpful.

  The pension is in a very nice quiet out of town location, with a convenient bus stop for the short bus ride to the city. It was pretty much as expected from other reviews, I.E. clean and comfortable with all the facilities we needed, including a nice breakfast. We used the free on site parking and took the bus both days of our stay. The lady who owns the Pension was very hospitable - The place is so nice. Surounded by mointains and you can hear the river running while you sleep. Me room was beautiful. The girl in charge was really nice. The breakfast you wouldn't belive... 17 kind of cereals, diferent cheeses, fruits, real coffee and more! The bus to the city runs often and it takes 10 min to get to there. You can hike near by and they lend you sticks and umbrellas.

  The situation of the hotel was fantastic with amazing views particularly overlooking Salzburg with the mountain range as a backdrop. We also loved the food and the flexibility and convenience of being able to order evening meals at a special half board rate when required. It was a pleasant change from staying in a city and the view of the snowcapped alps from the room added to the experience
