  We came as a group and booked both the "mansion" and the "coach house". Both were amazing - old houses on whose land I guess the other motel-like units were built. Overlooking the river and with lawns all round, a barbeque down by the river. Sure the houses were old, but still in good repair. Had a great time! - The staff and restaurant and restaurant staff were fantastically friendly and helpful. And the food especially at the restaurant - we had dinner - was some of the most delicious my partner and I ever tasted. And the view of the Derwent river was also brilliant. The ducks came right up to our back door and we could feed them. It was so peaceful and adorable.

  The apartment had everything necessary for our stay in Hobart. it was spacious and comfortable, in a good position for walking around the Harbour and Central city areas. The staff were very helpful and polite, Convenient guest lounge through the day supplied good coffee. We booked an apartment at the Old Woolstore Apartment Hotel because (a) it was very central to everything, (b) because we grew up on Vic. sheep properties in the 1940-60s and farmed sheep with Tasmanian bloodlines for wool ourselves and (c) because letsbookhotel.com offered great book-ahead specials.

  Location was awesome - absolutely lived up to the pictures, and we loved it. The space was also good - we had two separate apartments with a connecting door. - the staff very nice, design of the bedroom very good, lot of good amenities like a washing machine, a oven, tea coffee, blanket and so on

  Our 3 night stay was so nice we booked another 2 nights. On our first arrival wee were greeted by Alvin at the front desk who was absolutely delightful, very professional, polite and helpful and this was just one reason for us to return for another 2 nights. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend to I ends and famil - Staff are excellent I stay here often and each time the service is amazing. I tried to stay at another hotel close by as the hgc was very expensive during peak season, it was an absolute disaster. I will only ever stay at the chancellor when I visit Hobart. Thank you to the staff, the service is faultless in particular the front of house staff, the concierges, housekeeping and room service.   This is the perfect Hotel. Everything was just right. It is new and modern and comfortable. All Staff were very professional and friendly. The Breakfast was just right and the WiFi was Free and reliable. I could not recommend this Hotel highly enough. Very good value for money.
