  The apartment had everything necessary for our stay in Hobart. it was spacious and comfortable, in a good position for walking around the Harbour and Central city areas. The staff were very helpful and polite, Convenient guest lounge through the day supplied good coffee. Would recommend highly,and would stay there again. - A delightful city, Great Art Gallery's and Museums. Great food, fresh fish, fruit and vegetables. We booked an apartment at the Old Woolstore Apartment Hotel because (a) it was very central to everything, (b) because we grew up on Vic. sheep properties in the 1940-60s and farmed sheep with Tasmanian bloodlines for wool ourselves and (c) because letsbookhotel.com offered great book-ahead specials.

  The hot water in the shower was really hot and the pressure was good too. I could open the window to get some fresh air. I didn't realise the staff had openned it as the curtains were drawn. We only knew that it was cold and we needed extra blankets from the cupboard. I like the choice of fresh air or not. It is rare to find an - We arrived very late due to airline delays but the young man on reception was most helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We had a compact/budget room that was far better than I expected (having read some negative reviews) and it really was great value for money. Didn't have a car so no need to worry about the carpark. We had no noise issues and had amazing views. Very clean, very comfy beds/pillows, great location as it was just a short walk to the CBD and Salamanca.

Having flexibility on a business trip is critical and they went out of their way to accommodate my requests and ensure everything was set up and ready to go.   The room was gigantic and really quiet (just ask the room with windows faced to courtyard). Really nice equipped kitchen and just minute from the Salamanca place.   Location was awesome - absolutely lived up to the pictures, and we loved it. The space was also good - we had two separate apartments with a connecting door. - the staff very nice, design of the bedroom very good, lot of good amenities like a washing machine, a oven, tea coffee, blanket and so on

  The staff member at Quest Savoy was fantastic and couldn't do more for us as we didn't get the room we booked so she upgraded us to another room at their Trinity House. I will definately be staying with Quest again and telling all my friends as well.   Although this motel is a fair way from the city, there are bus stops nearby so the heart of Hobart is only a mere ten minutes away! My room was clean, warm and the facilities were all there. The shower was hot and the water pressure strong! The staff were knowledgeable, helpful and nothing appeared too much for them. The artwork on the walls is not your standard motel stuff but is uniquely Tasmanian in tone, - Ground floor unit easily accessible. Only slept there, so only one issue - the lack of an electric blanket on one of the beds. Great location very close to the city. Tariff was fair'ish for basic room used just for sleeping. Does depend what you are comparing it to. Have paid $50 for lovely b & B's elsewhere. Certainly wouldn't want to have paid any more for this room type. Good parking availability. Overall a satisfactory one night stay.

  Our 3 night stay was so nice we booked another 2 nights. On our first arrival wee were greeted by Alvin at the front desk who was absolutely delightful, very professional, polite and helpful and this was just one reason for us to return for another 2 nights. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend to I ends and famil - Staff are excellent I stay here often and each time the service is amazing. I tried to stay at another hotel close by as the hgc was very expensive during peak season, it was an absolute disaster. I will only ever stay at the chancellor when I visit Hobart. Thank you to the staff, the service is faultless in particular the front of house staff, the concierges, housekeeping and room service. Our room had a window overlooking the river and it was such a beautiful view, and a lift for the luggage carting. The room was very comfortable, with a toaster, microwave,crockery and cutlery for breakfast; a great idea. Bring your own cereal, fruit and a loaf of bread with some butter and you have a healthy breakfast, with the local papers available, one can relax and gaze over the activity on the river while eating breakfast.
