  We absolutely loved Zara. We paid extra on arrival and upgraded to the double pool villa for two nights as it was vacant, but then as it was booked out we thenmoved to villa 10 (grand plunge pool villa). We loved so many things about Zara. As there are only 12 or so villas in the resort, most of the time you don't see any other guests. The pools in the single villas are quite sma - This was without a doubt the best resort we ever visited in all our travelling abroad. The garden in which the villas are situated is awesome and right by the sea. This resort is excelent for people who prefer privacy, yet 20 meters walking and you're on the beach. In your private garden by the villa you would think you're alone in the jungle. Every detail of the resort is beautiful. The staff is amazing.   A great hotel and great staff. Really nice breakfast and really nice rooms. The restaurant was surprisingly good. The beachfront is a bit basic; Take a taxi to Chaweng Beach for 300 Bht or a tuc tuc for 150 Bht - Really nice and clean hotel.   We did not expect very much from this hotel, as it's announced as a 3 star place. We wanted a very quiet place to spend a week of doing nothing, sightseeing, enjoying the sea. Because last year we stayed at the Chaweng area and were a bit tired of noise. A lot of food shops around, exchange offices, massage salons. But not much choice for spontanneous shopping: a usual ch - Extremely helpfull staff, nice and friendly. Clean, good restaurant, fantastic salad sauces at the breakfast. Location direct on the sandy beach with own swimmingpool and massage facility, also on the beach. Close to the main walking road of Lamai, lots of possibilities to travel around Koh Samui. We will come back again!
